In December  of 1889, in the city of Dolores, province of Soriano which happens to be the geographical center of wheat  production of  Uruguay, Molino San Salvador started to  work. Today, more than a hundred years later, with a milling capacity of 12.000 tons per month, a storage capacity of more than 60.000 tons and over 170 employees is  the  leader in the  flour  market and  the major  wheat flour exporter of the country.

Its privileged location between two big countries such as Argentina an Brazil lets Molino San Salvador distributes its products all along the Mercosur. It is integrated to the region, using its own granary ships, by means of  the hydroway. 
Strategically located over the  San Salvador river,  it is just 280 kms. away from Montevideo, 60 kms  away from Fray Bentos international bridge and 40 kms. from Nueva Palmira harbour.
